Message from the Principal
August 13th, 2021
Dear Allen Dale Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! It has been 18 months since schools have had a “normal” school experience, and I am hopeful that this year will be much more consistent than the previous year and a half. Below are some important updates that our families need to be aware of as we start the school year.
The last 18 months have been extremely difficult with COVID-19, distance learning, hybrid, quarantines, and every other obstacle that our students, staff, and parents faced. Please know at Allen Dale, we are and always will place our students first and foremost. I not only appreciate the hard work and dedication of our staff, but also from our parents and students as well. This year, more than ever, we will focus on intentional relationships and intentional instruction. Our theme this school year will be “Reaffirm and Reconnect”. The past year and a half has required us to often be on our own little island leading to feelings of loneliness and isolation. It is so important that we take time to connect with each and every one of our families as well as the children attending Allen Dale. We all need to be in this together, and put our students first making sure they feel validated and heard. This will be my 10th year as the principal at Allen Dale Elementary, and I tell people every day that I have the best job in the world. Thank you for continuing to trust us with your children, and I promise that they will continue to be our #1 priority.
Enjoy the rest of the summer, and we look forward to having our students back in the building in a few weeks. As always, if you ever have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact the front office or your child’s teacher. There is so much we can’t control right now, but we can control the amount of love and care we give to our kiddos This is and always will be our approach to how we do things at Allen Dale.
